My buyer was renting a lovely apartment in NW Portland, close to a park and within walking distance of everything on NW 23rd. She loved the neighborhood and wanted to continue living close by. Her particular set of needs and wants meant that if she was to move any time soon (and time WAS an issue as her rent was set to rise beyond her budget) we would have to expand our search slightly, reset her expectations a little and be prepared to act extremely quickly when we did find the right place. Within a month of the reset we found the perfect condo in the Pearl - close to a park and within walking distance of everything she wanted. A little further east than she had hoped but closer to the art galleries she loves to frequent. The floor plan was smaller than we had hoped for, but the design was such that a cleverly designed french door could partition a nook into a spare bedroom for guests and still work as a small office area too. With all needs met we wrote an offer that was accepted and within a month she was in! My client is an artist and has a beautiful collection to hang in her new space. I helped her with paint colors, designing the partition and when the seller decided to sell some of the existing furniture I made sure we got that too. It's all part of my job - seeing how it could be.
